A VOA does not automatically authorise a change to another stay category. Obtain advice on whether an eligible transition or bridging procedure is available before your stay permit expires.
How to Obtain the “VISA on ARRIVAL” (VoA)
Travellers should hold an eligible passport valid for at least six months, a return or onward ticket, and meet the applicable entry requirements. Complete the official All Indonesia arrival declaration before arrival. They must also be able to prove they have sufficient funds for their stay in Indonesia.
Eligible travellers may apply for an e-VOA through the official Immigration portal before travelling, or obtain a VOA at a designated arrival point. Check current entry-point availability and follow the payment instructions for the selected application method.
Extensions & Overstay Payments
A VOA may be extended once for up to 30 additional days. Apply before the stay permit expires and allow sufficient processing time. Follow Immigration’s current document, photograph and interview requirements.
Overstaying is an immigration violation. The published charge is IDR 1,000,000 per day for overstays of less than 60 days. Longer overstays, or failure to pay applicable charges, can result in deportation and an entry ban.
